Tipply Ltd ("Tipply", "we", "us", "our") provides an online platform that connects people seeking window and outdoor cleaning services ("Job Posters") with registered cleaning businesses and sole traders ("Cleaners"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information for all users of our platform.

Personal data we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity & contact: name, business name, email address, phone number.
  • Address & job details: postal address, postcode, property details, service requests.
  • Account data: username, password hashes, profile information, service preferences.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe; we may store payment references, transaction IDs and the last four digits of payment cards when necessary, but we do not store full card details. Stripe is the data processor for payments.
  • Usage & technical: IP address, device and browser information, cookies, log files and analytics data.
  • Communications: messages between Job Posters and Cleaners, support enquiries and related metadata.

How we collect data
  • Directly from you when you create an account, post a job, buy credits, or contact support.
  • Automatically when you use our site (cookies, analytics, server logs).
  • From third parties such as Stripe (payment confirmations) and public business directories (for Cleaner verification, where applicable).

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Performance of a contract: processing required to provide our services (e.g. delivering leads to Cleaners, processing payments).
  • Legitimate interests: for platform security, preventing fraud, improving services and sending transactional communications.

  • Processing purchases, credits and refunds via Stripe.

Sharing and disclosure

We may share personal data with:

  • Registered Cleaners: when a Cleaner purchases a lead we provide the Job Poster’s contact and job details for the purpose of quoting or arranging services.
  • Payment processors: Stripe for payment processing and fraud checks.
  • Service providers: analytics, email delivery, hosting, and support providers acting as processors under contract.
  • Law enforcement or regulators: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

International transfers

Some service providers (including Stripe and cloud hosts) may process data outside the UK. Where transfers occur we will ensure appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, an adequacy decision, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Cookies and tracking
